Biography

Hi, I’m Millinda. I’m the Director for Academic Programs. I oversee first year courses (first year seminars and UNIV courses) and Jayhawk Blueprint (KU’s concurrent enrollment program), and support the University Core Curriculum Committee, the faculty committee that governs KU’s general education curriculum. My overarching role is to design, deliver, and assess courses and programs that create communities for students to explore, learn, and grow personally, professionally, and academically.

I believe our students are world changers. In my role, I have the privilege of collaborating with faculty and staff dedicated to designing and delivering innovative academic programs that prepare students to thrive in the workforce and respond to the complexities of a changing world.

In my free time, I'm exploring a new place to travel, reading a book, or chauffeuring my daughter. I love dogs (specifically Labrador Retrievers), Earl Grey tea, and flowers.
