Add/Drop a Course
Adding a Jayhawk Blueprint Course
Students wishing to ADD a Jayhawk Blueprint course must obtain approval from their high school counselor AND submit the required Sign-Up Form OR Non-Degree Seeking Student Application by the enrollment deadline. Additionally, students must have a zero tuition and fees balance at KU to enroll in Jayhawk Blueprint courses.
Dropping a Jayhawk Blueprint Course
To drop a Jayhawk Blueprint course at KU, students must first obtain approval from their counselor. After receiving approval, students will need to complete the Jayhawk Blueprint drop form before the drop/withdraw deadline. Students can obtain the link to the online drop form from their counselor or instructor.
It is crucial to drop the course as soon as possible because the date stamped on the drop form determines whether students will receive a full, partial, or no refund, and if a “W” for “withdrawal” will appear on their transcript. Please note that students may still be responsible for any outstanding course fees or tuition, depending on the drop date. Please review the drop deadlines for further details.
Potential consequences of dropping a Jayhawk Blueprint course:
- Depending on the drop date, students may only receive a partial or no refund for tuition/fees
- Depending on the drop date, students may receive a permanent “W” for “withdraw” on their transcript
- Students requesting to drop a class after the withdraw deadline will be unable to do so and will receive a final grade on their KU/college transcript.
