Add/Drop a Course

If you are interested in adding or dropping a Jayhawk Blueprint course, please meet with your high school counselor as soon as possible to determine if you are eligible to add/drop a course.

Adding a Jayhawk Blueprint Course

USD 497 Lawrence Public Schools students needing to ADD a course must receive approval from their high school counselor AND must complete the Sign-Up Form OR a Non-Degree Seeking Student Application in order to add a class. A zero tuition and fees balance must exist for enrollment to be processed at KU.

Dropping a Jayhawk Blueprint Course

Jayhawk Blueprint students needing to DROP or WITHDRAW from a course, must receive approval from their high school counselor and complete the Jayhawk Blueprint Drop Form. KU must receive the Drop Form as soon as the student decides to drop. The form must be completed for all Jayhawk Blueprint year-long and semester courses. Contact your counselor to complete the drop form.

Potential ramifications of dropping a Jayhawk Blueprint course:

  • Depending on the drop date, students may only receive a partial or no refund for tuition/fees
  • Depending on the drop date, students may receive a permanent “W” for “withdraw” on their transcript
  • Note: if students have not paid their Jayhawk Blueprint bill and they drop after the 100% refund deadline, they will still be responsible for all or part of the course cost depending when they drop the course.
