Add/Drop a Course

If you want to add or drop a Jayhawk Blueprint course, please meet with your high school counselor as soon as possible to determine your eligibility and next steps.

Important Add/Drop Dates & Deadlines

Adding a Jayhawk Blueprint Course

Students who wish to ADD a Jayhawk Blueprint course must receive approval from their high school counselor AND submit the required Enrollment Sign-Up Form OR KU Non-Degree Seeking Student Application by the enrollment deadline. Additionally, students must have a zero tuition and fees balance at KU to enroll in Jayhawk Blueprint courses.

Dropping a Jayhawk Blueprint Course

To drop a Jayhawk Blueprint course at KU, students must first obtain approval from their counselor. After receiving approval, students must complete the Jayhawk Blueprint Drop Form before the drop/withdraw deadline. Students can obtain the link to the online drop form from their counselor.

It is important to drop the course as soon as possible because the date stamped on the drop form determines whether a student is eligible to receive a full, partial, or no refund, and if a “W” for “withdrawal” will appear on the student's transcript. Please note that students may still be responsible for any outstanding course fees or tuition, depending on the drop date. Please review the drop deadlines for further details.

Important considerations when dropping a Jayhawk Blueprint course:

  • Students may only receive a partial or no refund for tuition/fees depending on the drop date.
  • Students may receive a permanent “W” for “withdraw” on their transcript depending on the drop date.
  • Students requesting to drop a class after the withdraw deadline will be unable to do so and will receive a final grade on their KU/college transcript.
