Add/Drop a Course

If you are interested in adding or dropping a Jayhawk Blueprint course, please meet with your high school counselor as soon as possible to determine if you are eligible to add/drop a course.

Important Add/Drop Dates & Deadlines

Adding a Jayhawk Blueprint Course

Students wanting to ADD a Jayhawk Blueprint course must receive approval from their high school counselor AND complete the required Sign-Up Form OR a Non-Degree Seeking Student Application by the enrollment deadline. A zero tuition and fees balance at KU is required for students to enroll in Jayhawk Blueprint courses.

    Dropping a Jayhawk Blueprint Course

Any student wishing to drop a Jayhawk Blueprint course at KU must obtain approval from their counselor and instructor first. Once you have received approval, you will need to complete the Jayhawk Blueprint drop form before the drop/withdraw deadline. Your counselor or instructor can provide you with a link to the online drop form.

It is important that you drop the course as soon as possible because the date stamped on the drop form determines whether you will receive a full, partial, or no refund, or receive a “W” for “withdrawal” on your transcript. Please note that you may still be responsible for paying any outstanding course fees/tuition, depending on the date you drop the class. Please review the drop deadlines for further details.

Potential consequences of dropping a Jayhawk Blueprint course:

    • Depending on the drop date, students may only receive a partial or no refund for tuition/fees
    • Depending on the drop date, students may receive a permanent “W” for “withdraw” on their transcript
    • Students requesting to drop a class after the withdraw deadline will be unable to do so and will receive a final grade on their KU/college transcript.
