Jayhawk Blueprint: Don't just make college plans...make college progress.

Get started with college today!

Jayhawk Blueprint is a partnership between the University of Kansas and select Kansas school districts. This program allows high school students to take college courses at a discounted rate within their own schools. Upon successfully completing a Jayhawk Blueprint course, students earn both high school and college credit.

High school students who enroll in the program will:

Take college courses at their local high school

Jayhawk Blueprint courses are taught at local high schools by qualified high school teachers, allowing students to earn both high school and college credit at the same time.

Earn transferable college credit

Students who successfully complete a Jayhawk Blueprint course earn college credit from KU. Most credits transfer to Kansas public 2-year and 4-year colleges and may transfer to other institutions depending on their policies.

Experience college-level learning

Jayhawk Blueprint courses are taught similarly to how they are taught on the KU campus, giving high school students experience with college-level coursework and helping them prepare for the transition to college.

Access KU courses at a discounted rate

Jayhawk Blueprint students benefit from a reduced tuition rate, set at one-third of KU's current undergraduate tuition. Textbooks and materials are included at no cost. Need-based funding is also available for USD 497 students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals.
